Tasha was gifted in capturing the presence of young children and this sticker captures the connection young children have with flowers. Unbound by our adult notions of what is suitable for picking, children pick what they see, usually managing to leave barely enough stem to put the flower in water. And there is no rush in the picking, exploration, and delight.
This illustration appeared in Tasha's 1966 book First Delights along with many other illustrations of the simple pastimes children engage in.
